The 2024 edition of Swiss documentary film festival Visions du Reel launched 29 projects in its industry section VdR-Industry. The selection of films in various stages of production was based on artistic ambition and strong themes, as well as international potential. Two new cash awards were launched this year. The Xe Award, accompanied with CHF 20,000 in cash, went to Salvatore of Lucan’s “Life of Tipu” The film is about an Irish-Bangladeshi singer who discovers his father’s exile on Facebook and sets off on an adventure to meet him.
